Ole Ole, Ole Ole !
I think that now would be a good time to talk about
The Gorilla. Many years ago, one of my friends, as all good friends
do, bought me a gorilla. It's a very cool gorilla, and generally
sits there minding its own business, but, if you shake its hand,
it has a habit of breaking out into a rendition of Buster Poindexters'
"Feeling Hot Hot Hot". Most people only know the song
by the first few lyrics which are 'Ole ole - ole ole / Ole ole -
ole ole', but The Gorilla knows the whole first verse. A pretty
talented gorilla I'm sure you'll agree. It was the last thing I
grabbed on the way out of the house. I thought, "I'm going
somewhere where they have winters that get down to minus twenty,
I'm going to need something to keep me warm". You can guess
the rest. A gorilla that sings "Feeling Hot Hot Hot" was
obviously just the ticket. It was now sat in the front of the van,
and I'd got into the habit of shaking the gorillas paw (why does
that sound like a euphemism) whenever we started on a journey".
So my heavy heart never lasted long. We'd had a
great few days, and we were back on our way. Ole Ole, Ole Ole, feeling
hot hot hot !
